Facilities

Located in the Centennial Engineering Center on UNM's main campus, the Center for Biomedical Engineering has a full suite of teaching labs, research labs, study areas, conference rooms, and offices. The Center occupies more than 14,000 square feet with equipment and facilities for biomaterials engineering, surface analysis, biosensors engineering, biochemical engineering, and cell and tissue engineering. There is also an adjacent microbiology lab. CBME labs have been designed in accordance with the best practices of industrial and large academic labs. The building brings together research faculty and students from a variety of science and engineering disciplines. This interdisciplinary environment educates the next generation of U.S. engineers and scientists to compete successfully in a global marketplace.
